We Want You
Okay, we're putting out the call to assemble a team for the Edition. The reason is simple: we know what we want to do, but without assigning names to tasks, we lack the organization/motivation to stick to what needs to get done. Also, we're a lot better when we work together than when we work apart.
So here's how to pitch in:
- Read the Skills section and think about what you're good at and want to help with.
- Sign up in the Team Members section and list your skills. Don't list skills that you wouldn't want to have to use on assigned tasks.
- Read the To-Do List and see what interests you.
- Add yourself to the To-Do List below for whatever you'd like to help with. Focus on what's fun for you, not necessarily what you think is most important.
Although we'd like to see everyone pick out for themselves what they'd like to work on, you might be asked nicely to help with a certain task if it's got no one volunteering for it (or someone needs assistance), if it falls under your listed skills. We know we can count on you to work within your available free time on whatever is for the greater good, even if it means tackling something you're a Novice at. By helping out with the Edition, you are helping out the community and Oni as a whole in the best way possible at this point in time. Thank you.

Skill Levels
If you're new to a certain area, but willing to learn more, you can mark yourself as Novice on that line. If you don't add "Novice", we'll assume you're at least comfortable at that skill.
If you want to learn a new skill, there is probably somebody who can help you, so just make your need known. If you have a skill that is not on the list that you think could help the project, feel free to add it to the list.

The items we picked are certainly open to discussion (this is a wiki, after all), but as long as you can find something to pick from this list, please do so, and add your name beside it.

Looking Forward
There are three pages being used to gather ideas, and of course they're for anyone to add to, but team members are extra-encouraged to read them over and maybe contribute an idea, or a solution as to how to implement someone's idea.
For general ideas that are outside the current scope of the AE, see Modding brainstorms.
For ideas that are connected to the current features of the AE, and important ideas for improving Oni through the AE, see AE:Requests.
Finally, the AE:Food for thought page directly addresses the concerns of reviewers one by one, and is to be considered a potential source of long-term ideas for the AE (regardless of current scope, because the AE can be expanded over time after we deliver on the more immediate ideas on our To-do list).
