Big Brother

Did Bungie neglect to capitalize the second 'b' in "Big Brother", or is that a clever reference to Muro?
This almost sounds like you propose Mai wrote it some time after chapter 14. But "YOU AND YOUR JOB" section would mean a change of writer and time. No? --15:52, 26 June 2016 (CEST)
I don't believe Mai was intended by BWest to have written any of it. There might in fact be a change in voice when "You And Your Job" starts. Before that it's the rebellion talking to whoever will listen, and then it's BWest talking to us. But since the in-world text of the "rebellion propaganda" seems to have been written before the events of Oni, it couldn't be Mai writing it.
Now, if I'm not reading too much into a simple typo, then "Big brother" might be a winking reference from BWest to us. Or perhaps it's actually a warning from the rebellion to Mai, but why would a rebel know that Muro is Mai's big brother? It doesn't seem like they should know anything about that, but then again, who knows what they might know. Whatever happened to Prof. Hasegawa, anyway? And what groups did Jamie join while she was an "activist" who was "determined to set things straight no matter what the cost"? --Iritscen (talk) 01:03, 27 June 2016 (CEST)

Note: There was no info of Kerr and Muro in the Oni Game Manual.

There are descriptions of the other characters from the game, SWAT trooper, Black Ops, Striker, Ninja, etc. Will enter their info when time permits. EdT

I've a question. Where do the information came from? Fury (green) is named Harridan and in the German PDF it is "Echse" (reptile). However, I prefer "Harridan" because of the mystical meaning. (Oops, that was banshee "death spirit".) Just curious. --Paradox-01 19:35, 18 March 2008 (CET)

The names of the subclasses are completely made up... The game itself never refers to the female Strikers in any fashion.
"Harridan" is the same as "hag" or "shrew": a literary term for an old and/or vicious woman. "Banshee" is a female demon.
The German version of the manual retained both the Valkyries and the Banshees, so you have nothing to complain about ^_^
As for what the manual writers were smoking, dunno duncare. My own philosophy is to just ignore it, e.g., the 2032 thing.

Well, IMO it's appropriate to call a Fury a Harridan since they sound so old. Seriously, whose chain-smoking grandmother recorded their voices anyway? --Iritscen 20:20, 22 May 2008 (CEST)

Would anybody like me to upload images of the manual pages? I don't mean putting it on this Quotes/Manual page; I guess it would get its own section on the Images page. Gumby provided me with the PDF version and I turned it into individual JPEGs for each page. --Iritscen 20:20, 22 May 2008 (CEST)

Would anybody like me to upload images of the manual pages? Not me...
The manual's content is bad enough as is, without the appalling typesetting.
I guess it would get its own section on the Images page. Oh... that page...
I don't think of "Images" as an intuitive place for manual scans, of all things.

Okay, well, I had to ask. --Iritscen 15:40, 23 May 2008 (CEST)
