Data Comlink

The Data Comlink is basically another name for the in-game help screen, so that the breaking of the "fourth wall" is as soft as possible. It's where you can view:

• Your current objective
• Items you've encountered
• Weapons you've picked up
• Konoko's diary entries and her learned moves
• Controls & UI help

The Data Comlink might be part of Konoko's smartwatch or wrist-mounted mini-PDA. She often interacts with the device although its geometry is not part of the character model and therefore not visible.

In the final game, Shinatama mentions the full term "Data Comlink" only once:

00_01_81 Shinatama: Don't worry Konoko, there's a lot to remember, but you'll always have your Data Comlink to help you if you need it.

Other sound resources mentioning it are unused or call it simply the "comlink".
