Mutant Muro
After Konoko(Mai) presumably chose to kill Commander Griffin, Muro appeared and transformed into a larger more powerful state to battle Mai atop his headquarters in the mountains.  In this form, Muro was covered by a powerful version of the Force Shield and could manipulate energy bolts against his enemies.  Muro argued, before transforming, that this was the full potential of the Daodan Chrysalis.  He was a powerful enemy and quite difficult to defeat in a straight-out assault.
It has been pointed out that Mutant Muro might be, at least in part, a hallucination brought about by Mai's cold-blooded murder of Griffin.

#The "wrong" choice alienates Mai deeply, but is that alienation irreversible? Does Mai redeem herself by defeating Mutant Muro (sort of like for Mukade), or is it too late for her to be "saved"? Is she condemned to be haunted by real and unreal violence forever? In her dreams, perhaps?
