Alex Okita seems to have been responsible for virtually all of Oni's concept art. (Some additional designs at that time were done by Chris Hughes, most notably Mukade and Barabas, though we don't have any concept art for those.) Later on, Lorraine Reyes was hired to finalize the design of Konoko. But before Lorraine showed up, Konoko seems to have been entirely a product of Okita's hand, as you can see below. Many of the light sketches below (squinting required) were used for the fly-in portraits; the resulting portrait has been noted on each image's page.
