This L-shaped image and two more variants were printed out on something like poster board and affixed to monitors when Oni was shown at expos. The different characters represent the fact that Oni was being shown in multiplayer mode and players could choose their character class (character move sheets were also placed by the computers).
Note that this pre-beta control scheme seems to have a disconnected camera, with Q and E used to rotate the player and the mouse only used to turn the camera. Apparently Bungie West had not yet settled on the Jello-cam as a way to achieve unified player/camera movement.
