Wanna see something cool? Make a link that says "<nowiki>[[wiki:whatevertexthere]]</nowiki>", then preview the edit and look at the actual link you generated. It will be <nowiki>http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?whatevertexthere</nowiki>. What on Earth is c2.com, you might ask? Well, only the location of the OG. Yes, the first wiki is still linkable by shortcut in MediaWiki just like the best-known wiki today, Wikipedia, which is accessible using the shortcut <nowiki>[[wikipedia:articlename]]</nowiki>. | #Wanna see something cool? #OG means Original Gangsta, for those who aren't "down" with the "urban vernacular". It's a useful expression for whenever there's an original version of something that feels ancient besides the latest version. Kinda like the OG hamster dance, http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~boris/dance/, versus the latest CG version, http://www.hampsterdance.com/ (cries at seeing new version). As you can see, the OG is usually better :-\ | |||
#geyser dislikes my propensity for using lesser-known English words on the wiki, and understandably so, since they are not ESL-friendly. But it's still preferable to being part of a community where you don't know WHAT the frack they're talking about. Cf. http://pfhorchan.org/m/, http://clique.jonirons.net/, many other sections of AlephOne community. So it could be worse. That's all I'm saying. |

What on Earth is c2.com, you might ask? Well, only the location of the OG. Yes, the first wiki is still linkable by shortcut in MediaWiki just like the best-known wiki today, Wikipedia, which is accessible using the shortcut [[wikipedia:articlename]].
