The military-industrial complex with its four pillars - the industry, the military, the politicians and the think tanks - have created an own nationalistic ecosystem ensuring many jobs in many states, especially in that of Superpowers. The interconnection makes it difficult to dissolve the MIC. Plans for a spontaneous dissolving would have caused mass unemployment and political and ideological resistance. A closing of this complex could only happen over many decades. The people involved were guaranteed to serve their countries security. It was an "inclusion" of cold warriors and hardliners of old nationalism. A special problem was the removal of nuclear weapons. The cold warriors were hardly willing to give these away as the MIC in other states continued as well. They argued that the weapons would be an reinsurance until WCG would have truly matured.
