This is an attempt to assemble a complete list of [[Oni]]'s physical releases, a process made difficult by the fact that there were some questionably-official distributions of the game outside of the United States (typically these releases did not translate the game but only some of the packaging, leaving the game itself in English). Also, it's hard to tell which regions received Mac and Windows releases and which only received Windows releases. Thus, this page is a perpetual work in progress.

So far we have 32 releases documented below. We do not attempt to list game bundles which included Oni; these bundles likely did not contain modified versions of Oni but merely whatever version was already distributed in that region. If a distributor is not clearly named on the package, the name of the publisher is used in the Distributor column. Note that a localization ''version'' (documented at [[OBD:Versions]]) is different from a ''release''. A single localization of Oni, e.g. the Italian version, might have been distributed in several releases.

Sometimes a used-game reseller like Cash Converters replaces the cover of the game because it was damaged. The image on the left is an example of a non-official replacement for the original cover. While there's nothing wrong with buying a used copy of the game, collectors have to be careful about being taken in by a replacement cover and thinking it's a real release that had an alternate cover. There should be a few tells:
*Any honest reseller will note in their listing that the cover is not the original.
*The reseller's sticker on the cover is enough of a giveaway once you know what it means.
*If you look closely, the cover is not up to the quality standards of an official release (click image for details) – but in a listing with poor image quality this might not be obvious.

Oni may not be a famous title, but there is always money to be made on bootleg releases, and today these can be offered secondhand for significant amounts of money as if they are historically important collectibles. The asking price for the fake copy on the right: '''''$299.00'''''. This listing for a Chinese-language version of Oni is a physical copy of the game that you can really buy, and it may contain a disc with the data from the legitimate Century Thor release, but the box is entirely fabricated by an unauthorized third party. It ''seems'' legitimate, doesn't it? There's no shortage of logos on it, and what looks like some sort of authentication watermark, so it ''must'' be legitimate… wait, is that [[:Image:Ian McConville - Cracked (color 1280x1024).jpg|a piece of fan art]] on the back? One thing is for sure: this box is not a collector's item any more than a copy of the Mona Lisa which someone has run off their inkjet printer.
