Nostalgia-ridden Iritscen randomly decides to check out Oni one day, after getting back into Marathon and discovering the whole AlephOne deal has been going on for a decade without his knowing.  He finds a community of enthusiastic people has reverse-engineered massive amounts of the game despite lacking any assistance from Bungie, etc.  Seeing their valiant efforts, such as preparing to release a Seventh Anniversary Edition mod package that improves gameplay, he eagerly jumps in, trying to help while not exactly knowing what in the heck he's doing.  This is his story.

Life of Iritscen<br>
Starting in the 2nd week of June, going through maybe the 1st week of July, I will be in transition to a new life in a new state, under a new name. Just kidding about the last part. But this means that I will probably be unable to visit the forums at all during that time. I will still try to check the wiki occasionally, so if anyone needs me (hah!) my Talk page is the place to let me know. Also, I will continue to work on the Oni projects mentioned below during this time period, assuming being off the Net doesn't hamper that work.

Update: Well, I'm back! I underestimated how time-consuming it is to move. I am still working through the process of furnishing my new place, but I am beginning to find time to return to Oni. Over the next few days I will resume my work in poly modding and gradually return to the community. Stay tuned!

:My main focus lately has been improving the look of the key models (you know, the major characters). There are two basic issues with models that can exist. The first is a discrepancy between an in-game 3D model and the art as drawn by Lorraine. This is most noticeable with Griffin and Muro. The second issue is simply a lack of polygons; the models were not bad in 2001 but can use some work to keep them looking decent in 2008.

:Currently working on:
:Current progress:
:Some finishing touches on Griffin's model, then ensuring that he has a texture that fits his new face. After that I finish up Motoko, who also needs a few finishing touches and a new texture.
:Finishing touches on Griffin and Motoko, new textures for both.

:After that, I plan to move on to either or Konoko. Maybe Shinnie after that.
