::Erm, that came out wrong. Should have been "except perhaps for minimal patches...". The only serious talk about those mini-patches was with SFeLi, and that was ages ago. So, hold your breath not. Point taken about chr_set_class, I had forgotten about it. --geyser 01:18, 7 October 2008 (CEST) | ::Erm, that came out wrong. ::Actually, there are a few Multiplayer related things in the C-Daodan. Don't know if they were in the original Daodan, or if it was something Rossy is planning. :) Gumby 07:05, 7 October 2008 (CEST) | ::Actually, there are a few Multiplayer related things in the C-Daodan. :::That code is there because I got bored and tried to get two Oni.exes to talk to each other. It worked but I have no idea what to do now. Also I decided to call the source code file ayanami.c, following the tradition that all of Oni's important subsystems were named after anime characters (Totoro - animation, Akira - environment/lighting, etc.). If anyone can help or tell me what I need to do to implement multiplayer, I would be glad to try. rossy 02:27, 8 October 2008 (CEST) | |||
::::Well the first thing to do would be to get the character info from char_0 from one game to be overwrite the data for....char_1 on the other game. :) (Ok, maybe not the first, but one of the most important...) I would be glad to help with such an endeavor (after brushing up on my C), but you aren't ever on Xfire, so it is kind of hard to bounce ideas off of you. quote: "There is no development planned in the short term, however, except for minimal patches to the engine (implementing stuff like chr_focus and chr_location for PC demo and the Mac"
- Those patches will be a great addition. I would like to also request chr_set_class, if possible. Thanks. EdT 01:06, 7 October 2008 (CEST)
