The cover of another Taiwanese release of Oni, which curiously looks more like the back of the original box.

The title is written using the Chinese symbol 鬼, borrowed by the Japanese who use it to mean "oni" but originally meaning "ghost", plus the symbol 妮, "girl". In Chinese "鬼妮" produces a title that sounds like "Gweinee", which approximates the sound of the game's original name and also translates as "Ghost Girl".

Infogrames Taiwan is credited as the publisher for this release.
