Summary
A sketch of Konoko from the 1998 trailer (intermittently flashing frames at around 1:23-1:24), reconstructed by overlaying all the frames where it appears (color-inverted to enhance visibility). Likely drawn by Alex Okita.
Slightly better results can be obtained by compositing at higher resolution (i.e., with sub-pixel alignment of the overlays) and some additional filtering. Will give it another try later (and of course overdraw at some point).
