Specification & Operation

Cartridge:
.40 Caliber S&W

Dimensions:
Length o/a: 40cm
Weight: 2.1kg
Barrel: 250mm
Rifling: Hexagon
Magazine capacity: 30
Rate of fire: 600 rds/min

Markings:
'SHIBUME Mod SH-40 serial number' below ejection port

Safety:
Combined safety catch and fire selector located below and to the right of the ejection port, above trigger. UP for safe; DOWN one notch for single shots; two notches for three-round bursts; DOWN three notches for full-auto.

Unloading:
Magazine catch is located on top of the receiver. Magazine should automatically pop up. Slide magazine back and up. Pull back the cocking lever to remove any round in the chamber, inspect chamber via the ejection slot, release cocking handle, pull trigger.

This was developed to make a more controllable one handed rapid fire sub machine gun. To accomplish this the magazine was placed on top of the gun, using the weight of the ammunition to reduce vibration at the muzzle. An ambidextrous design allows for any user to quickly adapt to the use of this weapon.

Special Features:
An integrated laser sight is built into the foregrip. The on/off switch for the laser sight is located on both sides of the grip.
