Exactly four hundred and twenty five wanted pages of a problem. Unnecessary links should be terminated ASAP (i.e. anarchy, what was THAT about?!) and all links that wish to be preserved should have at least a place-holder article. This may not be spam, but it's certainly like it. So commands the Imago. [[User:Imago|Imago]] 23:14, 28 July 2008 (CEST)

:If we create placeholder articles, it will be harder to tell what needs to be added or not. At least with redlinks we can see where we need to add things, and all of those things are nicely orgaized on one nice page. :)

::I am all too well aware of the issue and have tried in the past to fight it. You should be aware that [[User:geyser|geyser]] (who runs this wiki, whether he admits it or not) is personally responsible for redlinks like "anarchy" and he and I have been back and forth over why that does or does not make sense. His position is that all his redlinks are ideas that can be related to Oni if anyone ever takes the time to write those articles, and that in the meantime the redlinks aren't hurting anyone. My position is, the one making the redlinks should be writing the articles or at least starting off with stubs for others to build upon. geyser has not had the time to write those pieces, and I have not had the time to either write them or remove the redlinks. In short, I'm not telling you what to do, but I do encourage you to not remove the redlinks too quickly or you may find your edits getting reverted... certainly think about whether you or anyone could ever write an article on the wiki with that title, and if so, let it lie. Also, you can consider changing redlinks to links to entries in Wikipedia or the Wiktionary with the <nowiki>[[wikipedia:]] and [[wiktionary:]]</nowiki> syntax. --[[User:Iritscen|Iritscen]] 23:46, 28 July 2008 (CEST)
