:Everything explodes. We could make the list longer, but I was testing something that I wasn't sure would even work, so that was all I pasted in from Wikipedia. Here is the full list which WP uses: mw:MediaWiki:Cite_link_label_group-lower-alpha

:Actually, it looks like the ref notation simply advances to "aa", even though it wasn't listed on MediaWiki:Cite link label group-lower-alpha – see Quotes/Manual's footnotes, which go past "z". It seems that MediaWiki:Cite link label group-lower-alpha isn't needed at all, so I've deleted it. --Iritscen (talk) 04:51, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

:<u>Actually</u> actually, it appears that the page is not used to provide alphabetical footnotes in the reference list at the bottom of the page but rather to provide the letters in the body of the page; without MediaWiki:Cite link label group-lower-alpha, each reference will appear in the article text as [lower-alpha n]. So I've restored the page *shrug*. Who can understand wikis? --Iritscen (talk) 22:21, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

Everything explodes. We could make the list longer, but I was testing something that I wasn't sure would even work, so that was all I pasted in from Wikipedia. Here is the full list which WP uses: mw:MediaWiki:Cite_link_label_group-lower-alpha --Iritscen (talk) 21:32, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
Actually, it looks like the ref notation simply advances to "aa", even though it wasn't listed on MediaWiki:Cite link label group-lower-alpha – see Quotes/Manual's footnotes, which go past "z". It seems that MediaWiki:Cite link label group-lower-alpha isn't needed at all, so I've deleted it. --Iritscen (talk) 04:51, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
Actually actually, it appears that the page is not used to provide alphabetical footnotes in the reference list at the bottom of the page but rather to provide the letters in the body of the page; without MediaWiki:Cite link label group-lower-alpha, each reference will appear in the article text as [lower-alpha n]. So I've restored the page *shrug*. Who can understand wikis? --Iritscen (talk) 22:21, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
