Although James Cameron planned to direct a live-action movie based on this property, he recently stated that he has decided to stick with Avatar sequels until his retirement; at the same time, he doesn't seem to want to give up the GUNNM rights to someone else in Hollywood. Only time will tell if we'll ever see Gally appear on the big screen.
