Please don't use them unless you have no other choice in the matter.

Whenever you can, please comment on the article's talk page instead.

That way, people will not wonder what exactly you think is "wrong"...

But sometimes a template is all that's needed, when it's specific enough, and it is much more likely to be noticed than something on the Talk Page, or else why would so many pages on the wiki already have notes written directly on them instead of on their Talk Pages? --Iritscen 17:07, 5 February 2008 (CET)
