:Can you expand on this a little for the Windows-impaired? Are you talking about a Registry entry made by the Setup app? Are you saying the entry is made before installation is performed successfully, and not removed when installation is cancelled or fails? --Iritscen (talk) 15:29, 5 October 2019 (CEST)

I had an installation "Oni demo" for testing and installed AE on it. Months ago I deleted the folder.
Today I copied a fresh "Oni" folder from USB to laptop (at a different location, but shouldn't matter), I downloaded AE and tried to install that AE. The installer did not let me choose the Oni folder, it automatically chose the not existing demo directory. I figured that AE looked up that path from registry (an entry that the old Oni installer or AE made), so I deleted all old Oni entries from the registry. (regedit.exe)
I tried again to install AE and then I was able to choose the correct directory. paradox-01 (talk) 16:12, 5 October 2019 (CEST)
