I'll be glad when you actually finish something you've started. "Ultimately"? You and whose army? And the problem with the POTDs is that the Main Page (and other places), IMO, needs white-background pictures that somehow interact with the page's content, meaning that if you really cared about the image in context, you'd rearrange the body of text and maybe write a new haiku for the occasion, and and and. What you have now is a soulless channel switcher - just my impression of course. --[[User:Geyser|geyser]] 20:51, 1 August 2008 (CEST) |

- The proper magic word for what you're trying to do is LOCALDOW, not LOCALDAY
- POTDs and other featured content are set up manually elsewhere; why not here?
- If you're tired of Shinatama, why don't you set up a new picture with "TLC"?
- I'll only roll it back once; you're free to do anything you want afterwards.

- Thank you, I read the wiki help page too fast.
- I don't know what that means. Ultimately, I would like the template to pick from a category that we manage that's dedicated to "Main Page candidates" so we can try out different sets of images or swap in a new one once in a while, without changing the template every time. That feature can come another day, though.
- I tire of all pictures sooner or later. Trust me, you'll be glad I did this when the wiki presents you with new pictures each day.
