OSGE (Oni Saved Game Editor) is an editor for persist.dat files written in REALBasic by Tobias Opfermann. It will not run on modern Macs; see OniLib instead. It will run in modern Windows if compatibility settings are employed.

Features

For each individual save point, you can alter:

  • ballistic ammo
  • energy cells
  • shots left in your current clip
  • health
  • shields
  • hypos
  • ending boss battle

You can pick any weapon, enable cheats, enable all save points at once, enable invisibility, max out everything, etc. You can also modify the screen resolution setting, which is handy in case you ended up with a bad resolution setting that Oni cannot launch in.

Usage

  1. Download from one of these Mod Depot links: Windows, Mac (PPC only)
  2. Extract the archive into your Oni folder.
  3. OSGE will ask you to find the persist.dat file you want to edit and then offer to back it up first.
  4. Once you've chosen a save-game file, it'll remember which one you were editing the next time you run it.
  5. Hopefully the rest will be blindingly obvious.
  6. If you run into trouble, or even before that, you may want to read the author's Troubleshooting page.
