Clean slate again. If you need to look something up, just use the history.
An exception has been made for the latest discussion. I've put it HERE.
Because I can, and because it really holds a special place in my heart.

Until further notice, this is no longer a "talk" page. But you can still leave messages.
As in "Dr. Crane isn't here right now, but if you would like to make an appointment..."

I was looking at Pre-beta content and I am interested in where you got the possible pre-beta level names from. Did the BBB have anything to do with it? --Iritscen 15:16, 12 October 2008 (CEST)

No, actually, the missing levels are documented in every release of Oni (even the demos), in the ONLD instances of level0. The BBBB (big blue box beta) merely provided level logic folders, the name of which match the name of the ONLV (sometimes counterintuitive: neuro, power, ...). Matching up these names with the ones from level0 was not very interesting or informative, except for BGI HQ: the fragments of level logic strongly suggested that Konoko was supposed to encounter the Iron Demon and plant a bomb (the bomb-planting animation is still in level0, as well as the Demon's walking sounds). --geyser 16:46, 12 October 2008 (CEST)
Ah, I didn't know that. I guess I was not sure why you used the word "possible" when listing those names, if they were complete strings of text in the binaries. I thought they must have been guesses based on fragments of text. --Iritscen 17:41, 12 October 2008 (CEST)
The names are known, but when it comes to putting a name on a screenshot or on a series of screenshots, we're back to guessing. --geyser 17:44, 12 October 2008 (CEST)

About images not showing up in searches if their names lack spaces... that may be true of the Go/Search field, but the File List page always works. I never noticed this problem before because I always go there to look for images by name. Spaces in names are probably still more desirable than no spaces, but I thought I should mention this. --Iritscen 17:52, 12 October 2008 (CEST)

Since you recently edited the Modding Oni page, and you aren't on YIM lately, I just wanted to give you this heads-up that the entire page is being rewritten offline, so hopefully you aren't going to spend any more time on it for now, because it might be wasted. I'll have a nice shiny new page to replace it within a day, probably. It uses a lot of your text, but the current version's also lacking in some ways, so I wanted to do this thing as a little surprise (it's item #1 on my manifesto in Current events, so it shouldn't be too surprising), but I'd hate for you to make some massive edit when I've already as good as rewritten it myself. --iritscen 19:56, 12 November 2008 (CET)

Just so you're not too surprised, I'll probably hate it. Care to dump it onto the talk page or into your user space first? Your enthusiasm is always suspicious, and you're not exactly an authority when it comes to modding, so... ^_^ --geyser 20:10, 12 November 2008 (CET)
"Care to dump it onto the talk page or into your user space first?" Thought about it. Didn't work for me. :-D --iritscen 22:00, 12 November 2008 (CET)
Um, you know, the text from the beginning of Daodan DLL is also getting rolled into my pending rewrite... ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ --iritscen 02:01, 13 November 2008 (CET)
