- Incoming from Oni2_talk:Truth Number Zero
- It's only a reference which I have to deal with now: AVATARA. It seems to me very manysided, hard to understand it properly.

- AVATARA (the network) is Guido's idea (although it came as a response to the original character by 17secs).
- We've not developed on the network much beyond what can be seen on the current page. Basically, a VIP network for the elite.
- It's as if today's NSA not only taped the phones and placed cameras everywhere, but provided access to the collected data.
- AVATARA contains no information that an expert hacker couldn't access on his own, it just makes that info much more digest.
- Such semi-official, unrestricted access to virtually all classified data is granted to only a few individuals worldwide.
- There's advanced biometric authentication and user isolation to ensure that only the registered users access AVATARA.
- Obviously the WCG endorses this, even if the detailed implementation can be left to entities owned by BGI.
- One might wonder why the WCG would expose the classified data to potential enemies (BGI's CEO, for example).
- One point is that all the users are presumed to be part of the system and interested in overall stability.
- Another point is that the network might be spying on its users (e.g., by secretly logging the queries).
- And that's about it. I'm not sure we need this, but it looks like a consistent enough secondary element.
