I will need to take my time in actually contributing to the BSL pages, which I hope to do soon. Certain things I don't even know yet, and will need to research before I can document them. But just now, looking at the overall structure of how the IGMD page is treated like a folder, with manplant and the other level folders as subpages... why don't we do that for IGMD itself? I mean, it really belongs as a subpage of GameDataFolder. And technically GDF belongs as a subpage of Oni (folder) or something. I'm not (just) being anal-retentive here, I think it would be useful if we faithfully recreated the hierarchy of the folder, so a user could navigate it as if he was in the actual Oni folder. Then we would easily find a place for documenting the files outside of GDF but inside Oni's folder, such as persist.dat. What do you think? --Iritscen 19:52, 18 March 2008 (CET)

:I think that files like persist.dat and key_config.txt don't deserve a page of their own at present, at least not a stub that'd be there only because of that hierarchially-consistent idea.
:There's really not so much to navigate there. And there'd be no "parallel" structures as in the case of Quotes. So I'd prefer IGMD and GameDataFolder to be direct hits, not redirects.
:so a user could navigate it as if he was in the actual Oni folder Why would that be a good thing, and is that even true? The pages look nothing like a Finder/Explorer window anyway.
:But heh, if you really think new pages like "Oni_(folder)/persist.dat", "Oni_(folder)/startup.txt", etc, will make the wiki a better place (for support or whatever) - just go ahead, be my guest.
:"You know what would make this house a lot better? - No, what? - You should take out the stairs and put in an elevator. - Good. I'll file that with your idea for the moving sidewalk." ^_^
