Konoko pursues Muro on motorcycle, and the Syndicate van stops at Vansam Regional Airport.
Summary
Apparently Muro has sent men ahead of him to clear the way, because Syndicate troops are already killing civilians left and right as Muro makes his way through the airport terminals to his plane. Konoko chases him on foot, and has just caught up to him when he leaves behind a couple Strikers to deal with Konoko and makes his way further into the complex. She fights through them, and advances to a tarmac with a plane, but not the one Muro is using. She fights through more waves of Syndicate troops before advancing to another area: the Cargo Hangars....
Added Value
- If it were just the scientists from the last chapter getting wantonly killed, we could theorize that maybe they "knew too much" about something they were working on. But now random workers and civilians are being slaughtered. Muro truly is an agent of chaos.
- This is the first of two areas in the game which was so large it had to be split into two levels (the second is the Atmospheric Conversion Center). In fact Airport was originally so large that it was split into three parts, but some of the level was removed and the remainder fit into two pieces. This is the cause of the numbering gap between level4_Final.dat and level6_Final.dat, the two Airport level files in the final game, as well as the reason that the scripts for the second Airport level are in a folder called Airport_III.
