On Nov. 28 (judging from the subsequent diary entry), Konoko explores Dr. Hasegawa's Lab. There she falls asleep, and has a bad dream….
Summary
At some point before falling asleep, Konoko had learned the sad story of her parents by reading the information on the disc. Dr. Hasegawa was a professor, and fell in love with a student of his, Jamie. She was an activist who believed that the government was hiding secrets. One day, Jamie and Prof. Hasegawa ventured into a forbidden zone known as a Wilderness Preserve, and Jamie scratched her leg on a thorny plant. In a matter of moments, the wound became infected and apparently life-threatening. Unable to bear seeing her die in agony, Dr. Hasegawa shot Jamie. Now aware of the true danger of the poisonous world outside the ACCs, he wrote, "Jamie's death won't be in vain. I'm going to do something about the nightmare that killed her. Her brother will help me. He misses her as much as I do." Seeing that Jamie's maiden name was Kerr, Konoko realizes she must be Dr. Kerr's sister. Now she knows who has the answers she needs.

- This is the level renowned for its strange dream that follows the above revelations, as well as an unsettling series of appearances by Shinatama, calling to Konoko as if to lead her to some greater truth. Konoko also confronts Muro, Griffin, and her old self, as she realizes that no one is on her side (except Dr. Kerr, whom she hasn't talked to yet). Certain details of the dream might be difficult to interpret, but the broader message is how confused she is about where to go for help.
